Daily Invoice Maker

Daily Invoice Maker

Pay-once desktop invoicing and bookkeeping for US freelancers and service businesses: estimates, invoices, overdue tracking, receipts and US tax summaries, offline. Not built for UK VAT or Making Tax Digital.

Features

Most invoicing tools are a monthly subscription that slowly turns into a full accounting package. Daily Invoice Maker goes the other way: a desktop app for US freelancers and service businesses that you buy once, that runs offline and keeps your data on your own computer.

What it does well

  • Estimates that turn into invoices. Parts and labour sit in their own tables, and a yes from the client becomes an invoice in one click.
  • Invoices that look professional. Twelve templates, your logo, before-and-after photos and a remittance slip, sent as a PDF or JPG.
  • Seeing who owes you. Paid, part paid and overdue at a glance, with the customers to chase first. That is the part most freelancers actually need from invoicing software.
  • Repeat billing. Monthly invoices for regular clients in one go, or any invoice repeated on a schedule.
  • Receipts and bank statements. Snap a receipt and the total, date and shop fill in; import statements from 16 bank and payment-app formats, with duplicates flagged.
  • Agreements signed on screen. Scope and terms templates the client signs with a finger or a mouse.
  • US tax time. Schedule C and E summaries, a PDF packet for your accountant, a TXF file, mileage at the IRS rate and sales tax by state.

Who it suits

It is built for freelancers and service businesses in the US. If you file a Schedule C, want estimates, invoices and a clear view of who has not paid, and would rather pay once than every month, it covers the whole job, tax summaries included. Your client data also stays on your own computer rather than in the cloud.

Not for UK freelancers

The tax side is US only, and prices are in dollars. There is nothing for VAT, Self Assessment or HMRC, and it is not Making Tax Digital compatible. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax applies to UK sole traders with income over £50,000 from April 2026 (falling to £30,000 in April 2027 and £20,000 in April 2028), so UK freelancers are better served by UK software such as FreeAgent, which handles VAT and files to HMRC.

Price

  • Lifetime licence: $149.95 once, two computers, updates included
  • 1-year licence: $59.99 once, one computer, no automatic renewal

Both run on Windows, Mac and Linux, download instantly, and carry a 60-day refund through ClickBank.
